Church Services

Spirit and Truth Fellowship of Knoxville (STFK), a.k.a. the "Nerd Church", is an independent Evangelical Christian Church with a unique mission to the part of our community that includes sincere skeptics, scientists, geeks, nerds, science educators, and their families. Incorporated in Tennessee in 2010, STFK has served faithfully in the city of Knoxville for fifteen (15) years. Now in 2024, with a sincere desire to follow God's leading, STFK is seeking to establish a new church campus somewhere along Florida's Space Coast.

About Our Church

Spirit and Truth Fellowship of Knoxville (STFK) is a small-community, independent Evangelical Christian Church. We are not related to Scientology, Christian Science, or the organization called Spirit and Truth Fellowship International.

We are worshippers of God, followers of Jesus Christ, and supporters of science and science education. We see no conflict between believing in the Creator and understanding the creation. As a church, we take no official position on Genesis chapters 1-11 in the Bible, so controversial matters such as the age of the Earth are avoided. Newcomers can basically believe what they want about Genesis 1-11 without being judged for it.

You might find it helpful to watch our video describing the church vision.

Until the start of our transition to Florida, STFK has always offered an in‑person meeting place for church services. We were a portable church until 2020, and then we began renting a facility where we had 24x7 occupancy and uninterrupted use of the building. Here is a list of all of our past meeting locations.

Kid's Café

Children are welcome to attend any of the Science Café meetings with their parents! For ages 5‑12, we offer a Kid's Café program in a nearby section of the in‑person meeting location; this includes a science lesson appropriate for the younger audience and activities that help make learning science fun! Kids can participate with the permission of their parents while the parents enjoy the adult‑level discussion. For proper planning purposes, it is important that our children's director knows in advance how many kids will be attending and their ages.
